CO-oxymetry

We measure the amount of carbon monoxide (CO) in the air that a person breathes.

It is used to objectively assess damaging effects of smoking on a patient.

Acoustic rhinometry

We calculate the area of the nasal cavity from an analysis of the reflection of sound waves.

It is used to follow the evolution of treatment, to study nasal permeability, nasal and facial growth, septopiramidal dysmorphia, nasal polyposis and nasal reactivity among others.

Olfactometry

We can study the olfactory function.

It is used along with other tests, to refine the origin of olfactory disorders, determining whether they are due to rhinological causes or to the central nervous system.

Radio frequency therapy

It reduces the soft palate and turbinates by applying a temperature increase which causes the palate tissue resorption.

It is used to solve problems of snoring and nasal obstruction. It has the advantage of being minimally invasive, without the need to resort to surgery.

Computerized Rhinomanometry

This allows us to study the resistance by the nasal structures to the passage of air, and to analyze a wide variety of parameters.

It is used to objectively assess the relationship between an obvious deformity and its functional impact, to quantify nasal hyperreactivity and objectively measure an obstruction, effectively going beyond a patient’s subjective evaluation.

Polysomnography

Allows you to record different body functions during sleep, such as the electrical activity of the brain, eye movement, muscle activity, heartbeat, respiratory effort, air flow, and oxygen levels in the blood.

It is used to diagnose sleep apnea and to determine its severity.

Techniques for studying the voice

We use several techniques to study the voice fully and completely: Videostrobscopy, acoustic analysis of the voice, phonetogram, electroglottogram.
